2015 was a banner year for Cambridge Engineered Solutions. We launched six products -- including SlatTrak, Knuckleback and CamEdge – and welcomed almost 300 new customers, propelling us to our best year ever. We brought new technologies and processing efficiencies to our operations and embarked on a worldwide customer appreciation tour to share Cambridge’s legendary service and solutions with more customers.

On behalf of our entire team, thank you for making 2015 a year to remember. May 2016 bring you health, happiness and success. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to be of service to you in the year ahead.
With warm regards,

Tracy L. Tyler, President & CEO

January – Rocking in the New Year!
We kicked off 2015 at IPPE in Atlanta, debuting our new non-stick SlatTrak belt to the poultry industry and awarding our “HMT” guitar to Belt Power, a Cambridge distributor and our partner on the inaugural Heavy Metal customer appreciation tour. (As timing would have it, we’re back at IPPE this week to unveil DuraHinge Safety Edge.)

February – Packing Our Bags, Hitting the Road
Over 365 days, our team logged 50,000 miles on the road and by air. We traveled to the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Australia, Vietnam and China – just to name a few! – and almost every state in the U.S. We acquired VACE, Mexico’s second largest belt manufacturer, significantly increasing our customer base.
March – Safety, Security in Food Processing
Participating in Anuga Food Tec - the first and largest of five trade shows we exhibited at in 2015 - helped lead to our best year in company history for acquiring new European customers. We welcomed 45 new customers in Europe alone, generating millions in sales and significantly increasing brand awareness.
April – Engineering Earth Day Every Day
Cambridge filtration products took center stage this spring when we designed, made and installed 16 traveling water screens for the El Dorado Chemical Plant in Arkansas. Capable of filtering 2.3 billion gallons of water daily, these workhorses epitomize the custom filtration systems we make for industry.
May - Burning Down the House
Unveiling Knuckleback Platinum at PowderMet 2015 positioned us as the tech leader in the high temperature market. Knuckleback’s game-changing results led to new OEM partnerships, customers and sales. Read the white paper authored by Dr. Stephen Feldbauer, Director of Engineering at Abbott Furnace and Cambridge’s Cory Bloodsworth that appeared in Powder Metallurgy Review.
June – CamEdge Breaks Sales Records
Introducing the revolutionary CamEdge cageless conveyor to the European market, we joined our partner FoodBelts, for an open house in the Netherlands. More than 75 people from 30 companies attended leading to the first international CamEDGE system installation at a Dutch ice-cream maker. Turn to Cambridge for space saving spiral conveyor belts.
July – Crabs & Cornhole at Home
After a whirlwind travel schedule, we stayed closer to home and debuted our Heavy Metal RV locally at Taste of Cambridge. We mounted a cornhole competition featuring custom Cambridge boards (thanks to sales leader Jason Randolph’s crafting skills!) and handed out bags of crab-spice potato chips.
August – For the Health of it!
We scored a home run for health after being selected as one of Maryland’s best workplaces for employee wellness by SmartCEO. As a result of numerous unique, creative onsite programs, screenings and incentives, we were able to increase employee benefits while reducing overall health care costs.
September – Falling for Heavy Metal
Fall found us back on the road for 25 Heavy Metal customer appreciation visits in eight states. Driven by Larry Windsor, Kelly Hayden and Mike Hitt (literally!), we connected with more than 150 people and increased orders from the road by 10%.
October – Returning Vet Focuses on ROI
We welcomed Cambridge veteran Barry Voshell back home this Fall when he returned after a brief hiatus to head up our new Business Development division. Look for new product releases and OEM partnerships in 2016 as Barry and team bring Cambridge innovations and processing efficiencies boosting our customers’ bottom line to market.
November – Shark Tank & Tech Take the Stage
Operating a thriving century-old manufacturing leader means keeping on top of technology and trends. To meet customer expectations, we purchased passivation and laser equipment to bring all metal works in house. An internal “Shark Tank” invited employees to identify, invent and implement new technologies.
December – Fun People … Serious Solutions!
While we work hard all year to deliver outstanding products and exceptional service … we like to play just as hard! From pumpkin carving and gingerbread houses to Spirit Day games, our team showed their creative chops and well deserved reputation for: Fun People. Serious Solutions. Keep up with us all year on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and online.
