July 1, 2016
By Tracy Tyler, President & CEO
After 24 years at Cambridge – the past six as President and CEO – I’ve never been more hopeful, proud and excited about our company’s future as I am today. Building on a strong foundation of global and domestic expansion, 2015 was the most successful and profitable in our 105-year history.
Over the decades, we’ve built a reputation unequaled in the conveyor belt and architectural mesh industries thanks to a world-class team of innovators, fabricators and market experts. And, at the halfway point, 2016 is shaping up to be another landmark year.
During the first quarter, we launched our One-Maryland initiative and unified our two plants to improve operations, enhance productivity and increase capacity to meet growing market demand.
Concurrently, we designed, constructed and opened a 7,000 square foot R&D center to inspire collaboration, innovation and problem solving. Focusing on the continuous improvement of Cambridge products, practices and processes allows us to not only better serve our customers, but puts us on the path to exceed their expectations.
Lastly, in Q2, we embarked on our most exciting, ambitious journey yet as we were acquired by the Rexnord Corporation, one of the largest and well-renowned processing manufacturers in the world. I am confident the next century will be even brighter.
Wishing you a fabulous July 4th filled with friends, family, fun and food … a feast I’m sure will include a few hotdogs, burgers or buns made on Cambridge conveyor belts!
