We are a trusted leader in PE certified design and (US) manufacturing of new and replacement Water Screen Systems for industrial, municipal and agricultural applications. We offer a wide range of custom Traveling Water Screens, Stationary Water Screens, Trash Racks, Bar Screens and Stop Logs for manmade (i.e. cooling towers) and natural (i.e. river, lake, etc.) water sources. They are also referred to as Cooling Tower Screens, Intake Screens, Pump Screens and Trash Screens. Our roots in Water Screen Systems date back over 80 years.
A traveling water screen is an enclosed system with a revolving belt and associated systems used to remove and/or contain debris from fresh or man-made water sources. The belt lifts the debris from the water and deposits it into a container or on to a conveyor system for disposal. Ask us about Impingement and Entrainment compliance associated with the EPA 316(b) regulations.
A static or stationary water screen is a framed mesh panel that can be removed for cleanings. The debris collects against the screen, and can be washed off when the screen is removed. These systems have a lower up front cost, and are typically used for smaller volumes of debris. We also offer a Hybrid Traveling Water Screen that rotates with an electric drill.
We also offer a Hybrid Traveling Water Screen that rotates with an electric drill vs. an electric motor. This is a great option for seasonal debris issues (i.e. leaves, cottonwood fuzz, etc.), a reduced expense of not having to run electric power to the system, or when there is a height restriction for static screens (no room to pull them up to clean the screens).
Trash Racks are strong, rugged, and durable. They provide protection from large, heavy debris such as trees, branches, rocks, and trash. Trash Racks are available in a variety of materials, with customized edge treatments, bar spacing per customer specifications, and can be developed with or without lifting bars.
We develop custom, PE-certified designs for each of our Water Screen Systems. Our engineers are involved early in the planning process to provide critical information in system selection and design. We evaluate the site and study the required performance criteria and the environment. We deliver a system design that is efficient, cost effective and built to last.
